Web Apps

Web Apps & Custom Development

When your website needs to do more than inform - take bookings, log in customers, crunch numbers, or talk to the tools you already run on - you need an application, not just pages. We design and build that custom functionality on a fast, modern foundation.

What we build

Functionality beyond a brochure site.

A brochure site tells people about your business. These are the features that let people do business with you - the parts of a site that quietly save your team hours and turn visitors into customers.

Booking & scheduling

Let customers book appointments, tables, classes, or service calls right from your site - synced to your calendar, with confirmations and reminders that cut down on no-shows.

Customer portals

Give clients a secure place to log in, see their account, exchange documents, track progress, and pay - instead of an endless thread of emails and attachments.

Dashboards & reporting

Turn the numbers you already collect into clear, live dashboards your team can actually read - so decisions come from the data, not from a gut feel.

Calculators & tools

Quote estimators, pricing calculators, eligibility checkers, and configurators that answer a visitor’s real question on the spot - and capture a qualified lead while they’re engaged.

Integrations & automation

Connect your site to the CRM, payment processor, scheduler, or spreadsheet you already use, so information flows automatically instead of being re-typed by hand.

Member areas & gated content

Memberships, subscriptions, courses, and members-only resources behind a clean, reliable login that you control.

How we approach it

Scope, prototype, build, iterate.

Custom software goes sideways when teams start coding before they agree on what they’re building. We work in a clear order that keeps the expensive surprises out.

  1. Scope

We start with the job to be done, not a feature wish-list. We map who uses it, what has to happen, and where it connects - then write a clear, fixed scope so there are no surprises later.

  2. Prototype

Before we build the real thing, you click through a working prototype of the key flows. Changing a screen is far cheaper than rewriting code, so we get the shape right while it’s still easy to change.

  3. Build

We build on a modern, secure foundation in working increments you can review as we go. You’re never left waiting months to finally see something real.

  4. Iterate

Software is never truly “done.” Once it’s live we watch how it’s actually used, smooth the rough edges, and add what earns its place - at a pace that fits your budget.

Who it’s for

Any local business that’s outgrown a brochure site.

If customers keep asking for something your current website can’t do, you’re who we build for. We work with any kind of local business - not one narrow industry. A few of the ways it tends to look:

Restaurants & hospitality

Online reservations, waitlists, and pre-orders that keep tables full.

Home services & contractors

Instant quote requests and job scheduling that book work while you’re still on site.

Healthcare & dental

Patient booking, intake forms, and reminders that keep the schedule full.

Professional services

Secure client portals for documents, status updates, and payments.

Retail & e-commerce

Customer accounts, inventory, and loyalty that bring buyers back.

Fitness & wellness

Class schedules, memberships, and check-ins your members manage themselves.

Law firms

Credible, persuasive sites for every practice area - from personal injury to estate planning - built to win the click and the consult.

Spas & wellness

Calming design with online booking that keeps treatment rooms full.

SaaS & software

Product-led marketing sites and app UIs that turn visitors into signups.

Membership & community

Member portals, gated content, and join flows that grow a community.

Marketplaces

Multi-vendor storefronts where sellers list and buyers check out with confidence.

Directories & listings

Fast search and clean, scannable listings people come back to use.

Nonprofits

Mission-forward design with a frictionless path to donate and volunteer.

Events & conferences

Energetic design, a clear schedule, and easy registration that fills seats.

Real estate

Polished listings, quick tour requests, and neighborhood guides that draw buyers.

Education & courses

Browsable course catalogs and a simple path to enroll.

Creative & portfolio

Bold, gallery-forward portfolios that let the work lead.

Media & publishing

Confident editorial design built first for comfortable reading.

Don’t see your line of work? It almost certainly still applies. If you can describe what you wish your site could do, we can tell you whether it’s worth building.

FAQ

Common questions about custom builds.

Do I need a custom web app, or just a website?

Most businesses start with a website. You need a web app when the site has to do something - take bookings, log people in, calculate a quote, or talk to other software. If you’re not sure which you need, we’ll tell you honestly in scoping; sometimes a smart integration on your existing site is all it takes.

Will it work well on phones?

Yes. Everything we build is responsive and tested on real phones and tablets - because that’s where most of your customers actually are.

Can it connect to the tools I already use?

Usually, yes. If a platform offers an API or a standard integration - schedulers, payment processors, CRMs, email tools - we can connect to it so your data stays in sync instead of being copied over by hand.

Do you build from scratch or use off-the-shelf tools?

Whatever serves you best. We’re not dogmatic: sometimes a well-configured existing platform is the fastest, most affordable answer, and sometimes custom code is the only way to get exactly what you need. We recommend the lighter option whenever it does the job.

What happens after it launches?

We can keep it running for you - hosting, updates, security, and improvements - through a care plan, or hand it over with documentation so your team can take the reins. Either way, you own the work.

Have something custom in mind?

Tell us what your business needs to do, and we’ll map the simplest, most reliable way to build it - no jargon, no oversell.
